Brea’s Standard Residential Trash Rate Rose to $34.34 a Month for 2026–27

BREA — November 3, 2026. Brea’s waste service schedule says a standard three-cart household trash, recycling and organics account increased from $31.27 to $34.34 monthly effective July 1, 2026.

A change tied partly to disposal costs

The city attributes the adjusted prices to contract index provisions with Republic Services and increased Orange County disposal fees. Commercial customers with a three-cubic-yard container collected once weekly also have a higher posted charge.

What the standard rate includes

The regular residential rate covers the city’s three-container collection arrangement; extra services and unusual account classifications may have separate fees. A single household invoice may also include water, sewer and other municipal services.
